How to replace a pinion seal on a Toyota Tundra and Toyota Sequoia?

Raise the vehicle, support it on jackstands and remove the wheels. Disconnect the driveshaft from the differential. Check the torque required to rotate the pinion and mark alignment on the pinion shaft, nut, and flange. Remove the pinion nut and flange, discard the old seal. Lubricate and install the new seal. Realign the marks and install the flange. Apply sealant to the splines, install the washer and pinion nut. Tighten the nut until the original threads are exposed and the marks align. Adjust the torque to match the recorded figure. Reconnect the driveshaft, install the wheels, and lower the vehicle.
