  A: To remove the accelerator cable, start by disconnecting it from the battery's negative terminal. Loosen the locknut on the cable at the throttle body and rotate the throttle lever arm to create slack. Remove the cable end from the arm and detach it from the accelerator pedal. Pull the cable through the casing from inside the vehicle. To install, reverse the removal steps. To adjust, fully depress the accelerator pedal and check if the throttle is fully opened. If not, loosen the locknuts, adjust the cable, and tighten the locknuts. Ensure the throttle closes fully when the pedal isn't depressed.
