Raise the rear of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands, ensuring the front wheels are blocked to prevent the vehicle from rolling off the stands. Proceed to remove the sway bar kit link nuts and both links. Next, detach the bushing bracket bolts and remove the sway bar kit. It's important to inspect the rubber bushings for any signs of cracks, tears, and deterioration. If they appear worn or damaged, they should be replaced. The balljoint on the lower end of each link should also be checked for looseness or other signs of excessive wear. This can be done by threading the nut onto the ballstud and turning it with an inch-pound torque wrench to check the rotational torque required. When installing the rubber bushings on the sway bar kit, ensure they are positioned so the slits face toward the front of the vehicle. The rest of the installation process is simply the reverse of removal, making sure all fasteners are tightened.
