- A:Detach the clips, lift up the air cleaner cover, and remove the filter element. Disconnect the MAF sensor electrical connector, then disconnect the air intake hose from the cover. To do this, disconnect the MAF sensor connector, then remove the clamp to separate the air intake hose from the air filter box. Remove the three bolts and take out the air filter box from the engine compartment. This can be done by removing the three bolts from the air filter box and lifting the box from the compartment.
