To check the horn, start by disconnecting the electrical connector from it. Test the horn by connecting battery voltage to the terminal using a jumper wire; if the horn doesn't sound, replace it. If the horn does sound, check for voltage at the terminal when the horn button is pressed. If there's voltage, verify the ground connection at the horn. If no voltage is present, investigate the horn relay. Check for voltage in the relay's power and control circuits. If voltage is lacking in either circuit, inspect the wiring between the relay and the fuse panel. If both circuits have voltage, depress the horn button and test the circuit from the relay to the horn button for continuity to ground. If continuity is absent, check for an open circuit. If the circuit is intact, replace the horn button. If continuity to ground exists through the horn button, investigate for an open or short in the circuit from the relay to the horn. For horn removal, disconnect the electrical connector and remove the bracket bolt. Reinstallation is the reverse of removal.
