- A:To remove the manifold, start by jacking up the front of the car and supporting it on axle stands. Then, remove the bolts securing the manifold lower support bracket to the engine and disconnect the oxygen sensor wiring. Next, remove the bolts securing the manifold to the engine pipe and lower the front part of the exhaust. Remove the heat shield on top of the manifold and unscrew the bolts and nuts securing the manifold to the cylinder head. Carefully withdraw the manifold from the cylinder head studs and recover the manifold gasket. When refitting, make sure to use new gaskets for the manifold-to-engine pipe and manifold-to-head joints. It is recommended to use new nuts and clean the threads thoroughly if reusing old studs and bolts. Finally, tighten all fittings to the specified torque.Posted by ToyotaPartsDeal Specialist
