Some models are equipped with rear heating and air conditioning. The rear A/C unit is mounted behind the rear quarter trim panel and houses the heater core and evaporator. The fan cannot be separated from the blower motor, so if either is faulty, they must be replaced together. The blower unit is located in the cooling assembly under the dash, with an additional blower motor located behind the right rear quarter trim panel. For front-mounted blower motors, the lower trim panel under the passenger's side instrument panel is pulled off, the blower motor connector is disconnected, and the three mounting screws are removed to lower the blower assembly from the housing. Rear-mounted blower motors require the removal of the rear seats, rear seat belt outer anchors, rear floor mat support plate, rear door scuff plate, right side window trim, and right rear quarter trim panel. The blower motor connector is then removed, followed by the three mounting screws, and the blower assembly is removed from the housing. Installation for both front and rear-mounted blower motors is the reverse of removal.
