There are two column-mounted switches on the vehicle. The turn signal/headlight switch is located on the left side, while the wiper/washer switch is situated on the right side. To check the switches, trace the wire from the combination switch to the main wiring harness connector and disconnect them. Use an ohmmeter or self-powered test light to verify continuity between the indicated switch terminals in different switch positions. Replace the switch if continuity doesn't match the specified values. For removal, start by disconnecting the battery's negative terminal cable, followed by removing the steering wheel and steering column covers. Unplug the electrical connectors from the combination switch and remove the retaining screws to pull the combination switch from the column. Individual switches can then be detached from the switch body and replaced if needed. To do so, remove the defective switch by loosening the retaining screws or pins. Installation involves reversing the removal steps.
