How to replace the Air Filter in a Toyota Yaris and Toyota Echo?

The air cleaner is beside the engine. Loosen the clamp screw on the air duct and remove it. To replace the air filter, release the two spring clips on the housing, lift and unhook the top cover. Remove the air filter from the air cleaner body. If dirty, vacuum or wipe the air cleaner body. Avoid letting dust enter the engine. For a thorough clean, release the clip securing the air inlet duct and move the cover aside. Install the new air filter, noting any orientation markings. Refit the top cover and secure with the spring clips. Refit the air inlet duct and tighten the clip to avoid air leaks.
