Raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Remove the nuts from the sway bar links and detach the links from the bar, then remove the nuts attaching the links to the steering knuckle and take out the links. Next, remove the sway bar bushing bracket bolts and the bracket, ensuring to note the position of the protrusion against the sleeve on the bar. After that, take out the sway bar and the rubber bushings from it. Inspect the rubber bushings for any cracks, tears, or deterioration, and replace them if they are worn or damaged. Check the balljoints on the ends of each link for looseness or excessive wear, using an inch-pound torque wrench to measure the rotational torque required to turn the balljoint. When installing the rubber bushings on the sway bar, ensure the protrusion faces towards the center of the vehicle and against the bushing stopper on the bar. Finally, installation is the reverse of removal, making sure to tighten all fasteners to the specified torque.
