How to disconnect the blower motor in a Toyota Celica?

Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Caution: If the stereo in your vehicle is equipped with an anti-theft system, look at the information on page 0-15 at the front before detaching the cable. Remove the glove compartment. Disconnect the wiring from the blower motor and detach the rubber air duct running between the motor and the evaporator housing. Working under the blower motor assembly, remove the rubber air duct, the forward wiring connection, and the rear wiring connection. Remove the blower unit retaining screws and lower the unit from the housing. If you are replacing the motor, detach the fan and transfer it to the new motor. Installation is the reverse of removal. Run the blower and check for proper operation.
