A: Check the cooling fan assembly carefully for cracks, especially around the base of each blade. If any cracks are evident, replace the cooling fan assembly. Check the clutch for fluid leakage. If it's leaking, replace the clutch. Try to move the fan blades in a front-to-rear direction. If they wobble, replace the fan clutch. Spin the fan by hand. It should resist spinning, more resistance when the engine is hot. If it spins freely, or won't spin at all, replace the fan clutch. Remove the fan shroud mounting bolts and separate the shroud from the Radiator. Remove the drivebelt(s). Remove the fan assembly mounting screws and separate the fan from the Water Pump. To separate the fan blades from the viscous clutch hub, remove the mounting nuts. Installation is the reverse of removal.
