- Q:How to Remove and Install Outer and Inner Car Mirrors for the 2008 Toyota Solara?Posted by Denwood R.A:To delete them, first, take off the inside mirror trim cover, then, if there is an electrical connector like in most models, disconnect it, and finally, using the mirror retaining nuts, unscrew the mirror and take it off; to reinstall the mirror, perform the above steps in the reverse order. Regarding the inside mirror, the screw at the base on the windshield has to be either taken out or inserted in order to end the process. There are adhesive kits which can be purchased at the auto part stores to attach the mount plate to the windshield; one has to read the instructions as to how to go about it.Answered by Toyota Parts Specialist Jerry / May 28, 2026
