Then, loosen the locknut on the threaded portion of the cable at the Throttle Body and slip the cable end out of the slot in the throttle lever. Detach the cable from the accelerator pedal and pull it and the casing out of the firewall into the engine compartment. To install the cable, simply reverse the removal steps. To adjust the cable, lift up on it to remove any slack and turn the adjusting nut until it is 1/8 inch away from the cable bracket. Tighten the locknut and check the cable deflection between the throttle lever and the casing, adjusting as necessary.
