A: Lift the cap off the coolant reservoir and withdraw the overflow hose for early models. Then, lift the coolant reservoir straight up to remove it. Pour the coolant into a container, wash out and inspect the reservoir for cracks and chafing, and replace if damaged. Installation is the reverse of removal. For late models, remove the battery hold-down bolt and move the bracket aside if necessary for access. Again, lift the cap off the coolant reservoir and withdraw the overflow hose. Some reservoirs lift straight out while others are held in place by bolts which have to be removed before the reservoir can be pulled free. Pour the coolant into a container, wash out and inspect the reservoir for cracks and chafing, and replace if damaged. Installation is the reverse of removal.
