To remove the Sway Bar Kit, begin by raising the front of the vehicle and securing it on jack stands. Make sure to apply the parking brake and block the rear wheels. Detach the Sway Bar Kit links from the
Control Arms by unbolting them, using a 5 mm hex wrench if necessary. Remove the Sway Bar Kit brackets from the vehicle floor pan. Disconnect the exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold. Once these steps are completed, the Sway Bar Kit can be removed. While the bar is off the vehicle, inspect the bracket bushings and replace them if cracked, worn, or deteriorated. Clean the bushing area of the Sway Bar Kit using a stiff wire brush to remove any rust or dirt. For installation, lubricate the inside and outside of the new Sway Bar Bushing with vegetable oil (not petroleum or mineral-based lubricants or brake fluid). Finally, reassemble the Sway Bar Kit by following the reverse order of removal.
