How to properly remove the Center Console Base on a Toyota Rav4?

When using a screwdriver to pry trim panels, be sure to tape the tip of the screwdriver to prevent scratching the panels. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal, raise the parking brake handle, rotate the shift knob counterclockwise and remove it, remove the parking brake lever trim, pry up the console trim plate and disconnect the electrical connector, pry the trim plate off of the tray trim panel, remove the screws for the tray trim, then remove the trim, remove the front side panel on the LH side, remove the front side panel on the RH side, remove the center console carpet, then remove the four bolts, and use a flat trim tool to remove the center instrument panel trim in order to remove the center console. Lift the center console out of the vehicle, and installation is the reverse of removal.

Q: How to properly remove the Center Console Base on a Toyota Rav4?

When using a screwdriver to pry trim panels, be sure to tape the tip of the screwdriver to prevent scratching the panels. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal, raise the parking brake handle, rotate the shift knob counterclockwise and remove it, remove the parking brake lever trim, pry up the console trim plate and disconnect the electrical connector, pry the trim plate off of the tray trim panel, remove the screws for the tray trim, then remove the trim, remove the front side panel on the LH side, remove the front side panel on the RH side, remove the center console carpet, then remove the four bolts, and use a flat trim tool to remove the center instrument panel trim in order to remove the center console. Lift the center console out of the vehicle, and installation is the reverse of removal.
