How to remove and install the Washer Pump,Washer Reservoir,Wiper Arm and Wiper Motor on Toyota Rav4?

Regarding the front wiper service, you should first unplug the cable from the battery's negative terminal. First of all, take off the cap of the wiper arm nut using the pocket screwdriver that you are to have with you. This will involve noting or marking the position of the wiper arm(s) on the wiper shaft before removing them; occasionally one may have to remove the wiper arm off the wiper shaft by using a small puller. Cut off the wiper motor electrical connector, then unbolt the cowl cover and take it off; also detach the wiper arms. Two bolts that neatly fix the windshield wiper motor/linkage assembly to the cowling have to be unbolted and the nuts on the top of the linkage where it connects to the motor crank have to be removed by applying a flat headed screwdriver and lastly, the motor fixing bolts have to be unbolted on the frame of the linkage. To gain access to the rear wiper motor, demold the liftgate trim panel and then take out the wiper arm cover that will reveal a nut. Located on the interior, and undo the harness connector, after which the mounting bolts are removed to detach the windshield wiper motor assembly from the liftgate. The method of installation is the reverse of the removal of both motors as indicated above. To reach the washer fluid reservoir and the washer pump, the front bumper cover and the right-hand inner fender liner should be detached; however, only the front part of the fender liner must be removed. Pump out the remaining washer fluid through the washer fluid filler neck into the suitable container, disconnect the electrical connection and the fluid hose from the washer pump and finally pull the washer pump out of the reservoir. For the reservoir: dismantle the fastener which fixes the neck to the car wing; lift up the neck, comprised of plastic; and eliminate six clips for the hoses and connections with the washer pump(s). Last but not the least, undo the three bolts of the reservoir mounting to pull off the reservoir.

Q: How to remove and install the Washer Pump,Washer Reservoir,Wiper Arm and Wiper Motor on Toyota Rav4?

Regarding the front wiper service, you should first unplug the cable from the battery's negative terminal. First of all, take off the cap of the wiper arm nut using the pocket screwdriver that you are to have with you. This will involve noting or marking the position of the wiper arm(s) on the wiper shaft before removing them; occasionally one may have to remove the wiper arm off the wiper shaft by using a small puller. Cut off the wiper motor electrical connector, then unbolt the cowl cover and take it off; also detach the wiper arms. Two bolts that neatly fix the windshield wiper motor/linkage assembly to the cowling have to be unbolted and the nuts on the top of the linkage where it connects to the motor crank have to be removed by applying a flat headed screwdriver and lastly, the motor fixing bolts have to be unbolted on the frame of the linkage. To gain access to the rear wiper motor, demold the liftgate trim panel and then take out the wiper arm cover that will reveal a nut. Located on the interior, and undo the harness connector, after which the mounting bolts are removed to detach the windshield wiper motor assembly from the liftgate. The method of installation is the reverse of the removal of both motors as indicated above. To reach the washer fluid reservoir and the washer pump, the front bumper cover and the right-hand inner fender liner should be detached; however, only the front part of the fender liner must be removed. Pump out the remaining washer fluid through the washer fluid filler neck into the suitable container, disconnect the electrical connection and the fluid hose from the washer pump and finally pull the washer pump out of the reservoir. For the reservoir: dismantle the fastener which fixes the neck to the car wing; lift up the neck, comprised of plastic; and eliminate six clips for the hoses and connections with the washer pump(s). Last but not the least, undo the three bolts of the reservoir mounting to pull off the reservoir.
