Some models of the Sequoia are equipped with rear heating and air conditioning, with the rear AIC unit housing the
Heater Core and evaporator. To remove the front mounted A/C Switch, disconnect the negative cable from the battery and remove the lower and center instrument panel trim and center console. Carefully pry out the integration and A/C Switch until the electrical connectors can be disconnected, then remove the A/C Switch. For 2014 models, remove the A/C Switch-to-panel mounting screws and separate the air conditioning A/C Switch from the trim panel. Installation is the reverse of removal. To remove the rear-mounted A/C Switch, release the clips on each side of the center console rear panel and pull it off the floor console. Disconnect the electrical connectors and harness clamps, then pull the A/C Switch out slightly and disconnect the connectors. Remove the A/C Switch mounting screws, release the clips, and remove the A/C Switch from the console end panel. Installation is the reverse of removal. Finally, run the engine and check for proper functioning of the heater and air conditioning, if equipped.
