Raise the vehicle, support it securely on jackstands, and remove the front wheel. Remove the front parking/turn signal light. Detach the inner fenderwell screws and clips, then remove the inner fenderwell and mud shield by removing the bolts at the front lower portion and detaching the main portion secured by bolts, screws, and plastic clips. Open the front door and remove the upper fender-to-body bolt along with the bolts in the door jamb, ensuring the upper fender bolt is removed with the door open. Remove the lower fender-to-body bolt retaining the fender to the rocker panel area. Remove the fender-to-bumper cover fasteners, then take out the remaining fender mounting bolts, including the front fender-to-brace bolt and the three bolts along the top of the fender. Lift off the fender, ideally with assistance to prevent damage to surrounding body panels. Installation is the reverse of removal, and check the alignment of the fender to the hood and front edge of the door before final tightening of the fender fasteners.
