Prepare tools and disconnect the battery's negative terminal. Remove the drive belt, alternator, valve cover, ABS actuator, right front wheel, and drain the cooling system. Position the number one piston at TDC, aligning the timing marks. Remove the
Crankshaft Pulley/vibration damper, passenger-side engine mount, drive belt tensioner, and crankshaft position sensor. Remove the
Oil Pan, main wiring harness junction, and timing chain tensioner. Inspect all components for wear. Clean the timing chain cover and apply RTV sealant. Reset the timing chain tensioner to its "zero" position, lubricate the O-ring, and install it. Reinstall the crankshaft pulley/vibration damper and set the chain tension. Confirm TDC alignment and tighten the timing chain cover fasteners before proceeding with the reinstallation process in reverse.
