In order to replace the trunk lid latch, first, one must take out the trim panel by unscrewing the plastic fasteners that are positioned around the cope of the panel. Subsequently, make a mark around the trunk lid latch assembly, and unbolt the two latching assembly mounting bolts, disconnect the electrical connection, and then sever the lock cylinder rod connection. Next, unscrew the two receding bolts to pull off the latch off from its position. If required, sever the electrical connection or detach the terminal of the latch release cable or the actuator rod or rods from the latch. For the trunk lock cylinder, with the trunk unlocked, pull the handle and open the trunk; Now you remove the screws and the trunk lid trim panel. Locate and pull out the lock cylinder rod from the clip, and also pull out the lock cylinder mounting bolts and, if necessary, the electrical connection of the lock.
