- Q: How to remove and install the Door Handle,Door Latch Assembly and Door Lock Cylinder on Toyota T100?A:Unplug the battery negative terminal on vehicles with power windows and door locks while disabling any anti-theft audio systems through the lockout feature. Pull away both plastic pieces of the door panel. With a flashlight study where the control rods attach to the door lock before removing the linked parts. On the door latch power locks disengage the electrical connector. Detach the latch assembly from the door by taking out the retaining screws. During installation you need to fasten all screws tightly like when you removed them. First deal with both controls between the handle and keylock cylinder before cutting their connection. Once the access plug is removed you can take out the bolts securing the outside handle/key lock cylinder and detach it from the door. You follow the same process in reverse by fastening all the screws tightly. T100 drivers should remove the inner handle bolts and disconnect the latch control rod from the back of the handle. When installing the lock reassemble everything in the opposite order of dismantling while making sure the bolts reach full tightness.
