Toyota T100 Ignition Lock Cylinder

Toyota T100 Ignition Lock Cylinder is a crucial part that defines the dependability as well as outputs associated with Toyota automobiles. This Ignition Lock Cylinder is developed precisely for the T100 models of the years 1993 to 1998, and it increases security and efficiency as only the right key can start the car. This tumbler system incorporated in the Ignition Lock Cylinder hinders access to the vehicle and enhances the safety of the vehicle. Since the T100 cars applied conventional column-mounted Ignition Lock Cylinder, which are predominately found on today's cars, one can observe that Toyota valued safety and anti-theft mechanisms in their cars. Despite the move from traditional cars to new models having keyless ignition systems, the possibility of having an Ignition Lock Cylinder is very crucial as it enables the driver to start the vehicle in various circumstances. The T100 uses different engine platforms, thus the relevance of the Ignition Lock Cylinder. The combination of solidity and its work in contests have isolated the T100, including the backing of J.D. Power and associates. Since reliability is a key factor in any market, this product is ideal for the improvement of the Toyota T100 due to its durability and efficiency of the Ignition Lock Cylinder part.

Toyota T100 Ignition Lock Cylinder Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to check and replace the ignition switch and Ignition Lock Cylinder on Toyota T100?
    A:
Before starting work on T100 models, cleanly separate the negative battery cable and make sure the anti-theft audio system's lockout option is disabled if your vehicle has one. Before starting work, turn off the airbags, pull off the steering wheel and cover panel over the steering column. Pull these two parts off from in front of the Ignition Lock Cylinder, and take all the electrical wires out. Using an ohmmeter, check the continuity of the switch terminals: When using the test meter, you'll find no current if the key is in the LOCK position (no connections). With the key in ACC position, you'll see a link between terminals 2 and 3. Make sure there's no connection between the key unlock warning switch and the switch when it's off, and the key not present. Measure the switch's connections twice: first, with no current and no key, then, when the key is there and the switch on, there should be a flow between terminals 4 and 5. When the Ignition Lock Cylinder fails, you need to replace it.
