Toyota T100 Power Steering Pump
The hydraulic Power Steering Pump of the Toyota T100 is designed to reduce steering effort. The Power Steering Pump is attached to the engine and coupled to the crankshaft with a belt. The pulley and belt arrangement converts engine rotation into fluid flow. A flow of fluid is sent out through the high pressure hose. Many of the time, this is sent to the control valve in the steering gear. When the steering wheel is centered, the valve applies equal pressure to both sides of the hydraulic cylinder piston, causing it to keep the T100 wheels straight.
