How to remove and install the windshield wiper motor and linkage assembly on 2005 through 2009 Toyota Tacoma?

Carefully pry off the protective cap for the windshield wiper arm retaining nut from each wiper arm and remove each retaining nut. Mark the relationship of each wiper arm to the shaft before removing both wiper arms. Remove the cowl cover, then disconnect the electrical connector from the wiper motor by depressing the release tab. Remove the mounting bolts for the wiper motor/linkage assembly to detach it from the cowl, then place the assembly on a clean workbench. Detach the linkage arms from the crank arm by prying them off and then remove the crank arm nut, ensuring to mark the relationship of the crank arm to the motor shaft before removal. Remove the wiper motor mounting bolts to separate the motor from its mounting bracket. Installation follows the reverse order of removal.
