How to remove the crankshaft pulley?

Take off the engine's cover panel and the auxiliary drivebelt. Use a socket to undo the pulley center bolt. Keep the pulley stationary while loosening its bolt, either by having someone engage a gear and apply the footbrake or by removing the starter motor and jamming the flywheel ring gear. Loosen and undo the pulley bolt as well as the pulley. Check the bolt's condition and replace it if needed.
