Begin by draining the cooling system and removing the cylinder head. Take off the plenum,
Camshafts, exhaust manifold, and heat shield. Disconnect hoses, plugs, and brackets. Remove the head bolts and washers, then lift off the head. Remove the old gasket and tappets. Clean the head and block, check for warpage. Clean the old bolts and threads. Refit the head, align the dowels and place the new gasket. Tighten the bolts in stages. Follow the reverse steps of removal, ensuring all fasteners are tightened and sealant is cured before starting the engine. Check for leaks after restarting.
