Relieve the fuel system pressure. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. Remove the fuel pump from the fuel pump module. Disconnect the fuel return jet tube from the clamp on the fuel pressure regulator. Separate the fuel pressure regulator from the fuel filter. Installation is the reverse of removal. Be sure to install a new 0-ring(s) on the fuel pressure regulator. Use a scan tool to activate the fuel pump and check for leaks. If a scan tool is not available, turn the ignition to On and verify there are no fuel leaks. If no leaks are present, start and run the engine and check for leaks again.

Remove the fuel tube clamp from the fuel line and disconnect the line using a special tool. Remove the mounting bolts from the fuel pump pulsator. Separate the fuel pump pulsator from the fuel rail. Installation is the reverse of removal. Be sure to install a new O-ring onto the fuel pump pulsator. Tighten the bolts. Use a scan tool to activate the fuel pump and check for leaks. If a scan tool is not available, turn the ignition to On and verify there are no fuel leaks. If no leaks are present, start and run the engine and check for leaks again.
