Raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Remove the nuts to detach the lower end of the Sway Bar link from the lower control arms on a T100 model, noting the order of the washers and rubber bushings. For 2WD Tacoma models, hold the upper end of the link with a wrench and remove the nut at the lower end with a socket, then take out the link bolts. Next, remove the Sway Bar bushing bracket bolts or nuts to separate the Sway Bar Kit from the frame by taking off the bushing clamp bolts from both clamps. After that, remove the Sway Bar Kit and the rubber bushings from it. Inspect the rubber bushings for cracks, tears, and deterioration; if they are worn or damaged, replace them. When installing the new rubber bushings on the Sway Bar Kit, ensure the slits face toward the front of the vehicle, or down for Tacoma 2WD models. Finally, installation is the reverse of removal, making sure to tighten all fasteners to the specified torque.
