Lift and safely support the rear part of the car on jackstands and turn the front wheels until they are blocked. Take out the bolts of the left subframe brace and loose the sway bar to link nuts and while undoing the nut of the ballstud, hold it with a hex bit if it rotates with the nut. Lose the nut on the left link-to-lower arm bolt and disconnect the ballstud from the bar. Unlock the nuts on the rear arm side of the vehicle's subframe and then pull the sway bar bushing out with their respective clamps. Examine bushings for such potential problems as wear, excessive hardness, shape distortion, and cracking; the same holds for the links of the sway bar. Scrape the regions around the bushings with the wire brush and place the bushings around the bar with the gap directed downwards, placing them just below the paint line. As required, liberally hose down the vehicle or, if necessary, apply a thin layer of vegetable oil to ease bushing and the inserting of the U-bracket and do not use petroleum or brake fluids. Last but not least, it is to reinstall all the components in the reverse sequence of their removal and then, tighten all the nuts and bolts.
