To release the front belt, advance the seat belt height adjuster to the lowest position, below that, pull off the door sill trim panel on the respective side and for three door cars the rear side trim; for three door cars remove B-pillar lower trim as well. For 3-door models remove the lower seat belt anchors by unscrewing the bolts at both ends of the belt and unclipping them from the rail and the belt slot. For 5 door models Only the outer cover should be removed and the bolt of the seat belt lower anchor should be undone. Subsequently again remove the outer cover, then rotate the seat belt upper anchor bolt, and finally take out the upper anchor from the car. Remove the wiring plug for the seat belt pretensioner by unlocking the locking clip of the plug and delete the yellow plug, further, unbolt the two screws that hold the inertia reel to the floor and raise the seat belt and the reel above the car. Refitting lies in doing procedures in the reverse manner as with regard to removal of the seat belt yet with confirmation of tightened bolts to its expectant torque. As for the front belt stalk, move the front seat back as far as possible in order to have an access to the stalk mounting bolt; next, the bolt should be unscrewed and the stalk detached from the frame of the seat. when refitting, with the top end positioned forwards of the sleeve ensure the stalk is angled towards the seat and tighten the securing bolt to the above mentioned torque value. To disconnect it, it is necessary to remove the B pillar trim and to unscrew 2 bolts to which the adjuster is fixed and pulling it out of the car; assembly is the opposite process and bolts must be tightened to the specified moment. To access the rear inertia reel belt, the rear seat should be unbent fully forward or it could be removed jointly with the trim panel of the rear side window or the trim panel of C-pillar or the parcel shelf support panel. Loosen the seat belt upper anchor bolt and pull it out; next, take off the inertia reel mounting bolt and pull out the inertia reel. This is the reverse of removal with bolts screwed to the required level of tension. To liberate the rear buckles and lap belt, the rear seat has to be pulled out, in order to either pry on the seat material back to get to the mounting bolt or turn over the rear seat assembly to have access to the clips that secures the carpet panel to get to the bolt, being careful not to cut fingers on sharp edges. Refitting is almost the opposite to removal, making certain that nuts are properly tightened to the required torque.
