Toyota 53630-52110 Cable Assy, Hood Lock Control

1. Pull out the release lever and unclip the cable end fitting from underneath it. 2. Release the outer cable from the mounting bracket and withdraw it under the facia. 3. Under the bonnet, prise out the outer cable end fitting from its slot in the bonnet lock, then unhook the inner cable from the lock operating lever. 4. Release the cable from the clips and brackets in the engine compartment, noting its routing. 5. Tie a length of string to the end of the cable at the release lever inside the car, then carefully pull the cable through the bulkhead grommet into the engine compartment. 6. Untie the string from the end of the cable and leave it in position to aid refitting.
