Toyota 77035-AC010 Cable Sub-Assy, Fuel Lid Lock Control

For trunk latch removal, start by disengaging the cable from the latch. Inside the trunk, remove the floor mat and left-side panel to access the Fuel Door Release Cable end. Twist the Fuel Door Release Cable end counterclockwise and pull it from the fuel door housing. Remove the rear seat bottom; on coupe models, both seat back and bottom must be removed. Pry up the driver's side door sill covers (only one cover on coupe models) or remove the center door pillar's lower trim panel on four-door models. Peel back the carpeting to access the release cable and open all clips holding the cable to the body. Remove the screws holding the release handle assembly to the floor and then remove the cable housings from the clips and eyes from the levers when turning the housing over.For installation, attach a thin wire to the end of the cable. Working in the trunk compartment, pull the cable towards the rear of the vehicle until the wire is visible. Attach the wire to the front of the new cable and thread it back through the body to attach it to the lever. The remaining steps involve reversing the removal process.
