Take off the negative cable from the car's battery, and pull out the center console. You need to pull the whole center instrument panel and control part out when working with Avalon models. Slide your trim tool carefully between the clips holding the A/C Switch, lift it gently out from the instrument panel on both sides. Pull off the wires from the power source and take out the main part. If available, first take off both the audio/navigation unit and its mounting brackets along each side of the equipment. Grab the audio/navigation device with both hands and pull the control stick from one side to another to release the holding clips and connections. You uninstall things the way you installed them before. Start the car, making sure the A/C is working correctly.
