To replace the brake caliper on your vehicle, start by loosening the front wheel lug nuts and raising the front of the vehicle. Support it securely on jack stands and remove the wheels. Clean the caliper and surrounding area with brake system cleaner and, if necessary, remove the brake pads. Detach the brake line and hose from the steering knuckle, as well as the brake line fitting from the caliper using a flare-nut wrench. Plug all openings to minimize brake fluid loss. Remove the caliper mounting bolts and lift the caliper from the knuckle. For floating-type calipers on 2WD models, remove the brake hose banjo bolt and disconnect the hose from the caliper, plugging the hose to prevent contamination and fluid loss. Remove the caliper mounting bolts and lift the caliper from the bracket, supporting it with a length of wire if the hose is still attached. To install the new calipers, reverse the removal steps. Tighten the caliper mounting bolts to the specified torque. Bleed the brake lines to remove any air. Install the wheels and lug nuts, lower the vehicle, and tighten the lug nuts to the specified torque. Before returning the vehicle to normal service, carefully check the operation of the brakes.
