Bring the vehicle to a comfortable height, block it with jackstands, and take off the front wheel. After parking the car, take off the side marker lights and detaching any other lighting parts that would block easy access to the fenders. Take out the radiator grille if it's attached to headlight trim; otherwise, remove the lower headlight trim piece by first unscrewing its inner end, then gently releasing the outer end from behind the light. Don't forget to note the front fender bolt below the headlight. Unhook the wheel housing splash shields from the fender. They slide onto the body and connect to the frame through several different screw and clip types. Lift off the fender's side holding bolts. Open the door and remove the top upper rear fender bolt that attaches to the body's corner, then take off the bolt from the lower rear edge of the fender close behind the wheel well. Take out the fender safely, having someone help you so you won't knock into the nearby panels. When switching fenders, peel off the trim piece at the wheel opening. It's held in place by six screws. Drill out the rivets in each corner, then tap a few times to get the rivets out. Be careful not to drill the rivets too deeply by wrapping tape around the drill 0.20 inch from the tip. During reinstalling all bolts need to be properly tightened to secure everything.
