Loosen the drive axle/hub nut. Loosen the wheel lug nuts, raise the vehicle, and support it securely on jackstands. Remove the wheel. Remove the brake caliper and support it with a piece of wire. Remove the caliper torque plate and separate the brake disc from the hub. Loosen, but do not remove, the strut-to-steering knuckle bolts. Separate the tie-rod end from the steering knuckle arm. Remove the ball joint-to-lower arm bolt and nuts. The strut-to-knuckle bolts can now be removed. Push the drive axle from the hub. Support the end of the drive axle with a piece of wire. Separate the steering knuckle from the strut. If necessary, detach the ball joint from the steering knuckle. Installation: Guide the knuckle and hub assembly into position, inserting the drive axle into the hub. Push the knuckle into the strut flange and install the bolts and nuts, but do not tighten them yet. Connect the ball joint to the control arm and install the bolt and nuts (do not tighten them yet). Attach the tie-rod to the steering knuckle arm. Tighten the strut bolt nuts, the balljoint-to-control arm bolt and nuts, and the tie-rod nut to the torque values. Place the brake disc on the hub and install the caliper. Install the drive axle/hub nut and tighten it securely. Install the wheel and lug nuts. Lower the vehicle and tighten the lug nuts to the torque. Tighten the drive axle/hub nut to the torque.

When replacing the driveaxle and hub assembly will require loosening of the driveaxle/hub nut and the wheel lug nuts, then lifting the car off the ground and placing jackstands before removing the wheel. After that, unbolt the brake caliper and then secure it using a wire, then remove the caliper torque plate and finally, isolate the brake disc from the hub. Slightly open the bolts that connect the strut to the steering knuckle, but do not completely remove them, then remove the tie-rod end from the steering knuckle arm. The above procedures take the balljoint to lower arm bolt and nuts off to detach the control arm from the balljoint, and then the strut to knuckle bolts can also be undone. Shove the driveaxle from the hub and prop up the end of it with wire; disconnect the steering knuckle from the strut and remove the balljoint if needed. For installation, position the knuckle and hub assembly, place the driveaxle into the hub and push the knuckle into the strut flange before you tighten the bolts and nuts. Attach the balljoint to the control arm and then stack the additional bolt and nuts without fastening them yet. Screw the tie-rod onto the steering knuckle arm before tightening the strut bolt nuts, the balljoint-to-control arm bolt, and nuts, and the tie-rod nut to their respective torsion requirements. Now position the brake disc on the hub and fit the caliper in the method explained above. Last, torque the driveaxle/hub nut, fit the wheel with the lugs nuts, drop the vehicle and torque the lugs nuts together with the driveaxle/hub nut to the requisite torque rating.
