- A:Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. The blower unit is located in the passenger compartment above the right front footwell. Remove the glove compartment liner, the glove compartment door, and the right lower dash panel. To remove the blower, remove the blower unit retaining screws and lower the unit from the housing. If the motor is being replaced, transfer the fan to the new motor prior to installation. Use pliers to release and remove the clip, then lift the blower fan off the motor shaft.
