Disconnect the washer hose from the nozzle by pulling it off or releasing the quick-disconnect fitting; plug or cap the hose to prevent fluid loss. 7. Disconnect any electrical connector for heated nozzles or integrated washers by depressing the locking tab and separating the plug. 8. Release the nozzle retaining clip(s) or tabs-typically by pressing a tab or prying gently-and pull the nozzle out of the mounting opening. 9. Inspect the mounting hole, hose, and connector for damage and clean away debris or hardened sealant. Installation steps 1. Compare the new nozzle to the old unit and confirm correct type and orientation before installing. 2. If the nozzle uses a grommet, wet the grommet lightly with soapy water to ease installation and protect paint. 3. Reconnect the washer hose to the new nozzle, ensuring a full, snug push-on fit; replace any damaged hose or fittings. 4. Reattach any electrical connector to the nozzle while the battery remains disconnected; ensure locking tabs engage. 5. Seat the nozzle into the mounting hole until the retaining clip(s) engage-do not force or over-flex the panel. 6. Reinstall any removed trim, wiper arms, or access panels and ensure all fasteners are secure. 7. Reconnect the negative battery cable. 8. Refill the washer reservoir as needed, then cycle the washer pump and observe spray pattern and flow while the engine/ignition is ON. 9. Adjust nozzle aim if the design allows (commonly with a small needle or by very small manual deflection) and check for leaks at hose connections. 10. Clean up spilled fluid and verify the nozzle and surrounding area are properly seated and undamaged. Repair tip: Keep small clamps or replacement grommets on hand-old rubber fittings often harden and cause leaks or poor seating during reassembly.
