Q:
How to remove and install the heater and air conditioning control assembly on 2003 through 2009 Toyota 4Runner? Posted by Customer
A:
Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Open the door on the lower center console trim panel and remove the control assembly mounting bolt. Use a trim panel tool and pry the control assembly away from the center dash. Carefully pry the corners of the control assembly and release the plastic tabs from the instrument panel. Disconnect the control assembly electrical connectors and separate the heater and air conditioning control assembly from the center console. Installation is the reverse of removal.
