To work on Solara cars, first take off the door trim panel and the plastic watershield. Next, take out the window glass assembly. For power windows, first disconnect their electrical wiring from the window motor. Start by unscrewing the nuts at the top, set of three near the motor, and two bolts below. Slide the equalizer arm and regulator pieces from the doorframe through the service opening to take them out. Reinstalling works the same as when you take the parts down, just apply white lubricant to roller parts and worn areas before putting them back. Undo the same steps from before: start with removing the door trim panel and watershield, then take off the window glass bit by bit. Untube the power line from the window regulator's motor and then unscrew the bolts that hold the regulator/motor unit to place. The assembly that controls the rear glass movement works exactly like the one inside the front door. Finishing up, unlatch the equalizer bar and lift the regulator unit through the door frame's servicing hole, then do the reverse to put it back, with all moving parts getting the same maintenance steps as before.

Remove the lower roller guide (equalizer) bolts, followed by the six screws holding the regulator/motor (or crank assembly on non-power window models) to the door.
