- A:To relieve the fuel system pressure, disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the engine cover. Then, remove the air filter housing and disconnect the fuel return hose. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the fuel pressure regulator and remove the two mounting bolts. Finally, remove the pressure regulator and discard the old O-ring.
