- A:The knock sensors are located on top of the engine block, under the intake manifold. There are four sensors. Remove the intake manifold. Remove the engine sound insulators. Disconnect the knock sensor electrical connector. Remove the knock sensor retaining bolts and remove the sensors. Installation is the reverse of removal.
