Toyota 28100-0S050 Starter Assembly

To disconnect the negative battery terminal cable, first loosen the lug nuts on the right front wheel and raise the vehicle using jackstands. Remove the wheel and engine under-cover. Then, remove the plastic clips from the rubber seal on the right front inner fender well splash shield and take off the seal. Proceed to remove the power steering pump and alternator. Next, remove the engine oil dipstick tube bracket bolt and discard the O-ring from the end of the tube. Disconnect the right side exhaust pipe from the manifold and remove the right side exhaust manifold. Remove the starter motor heat shield and disconnect the electrical connectors from the starter motor/solenoid assembly. Finally, remove the starter motor by taking out the mounting bolts. To install, simply reverse the removal process.
