When a malfunction occurs in the starting circuit, it is important to check several components. Firstly, make sure that the battery cable clamps are clean and connected to the Car Batteries. Next, check the battery cables, replacing the defective ones. Then, test the battery and replace it if it fails. Also, check the wiring, connections of the starter solenoid, and the mounting bolts. It is also important to check the fusible link and repair the circuit if burned. The operation of the Park/Neutral switch and the starter relay should be checked as well. If necessary, perform a bench test on the Starter Motor and check the cranking voltage and current drawn from the battery. Finally, remove and check the starter/solenoid assembly on the bench, ensuring to rotate the crankshaft pulley if necessary.
