Since trucks have their weight at the front end a loaded truck requires more brake pressure on the front containers and less pressure on the back containers to stay stable during braking. The LSP & BV system in trucks adjusts braking distribution automatically based on the cargo weight in the truck bed since a loaded truck places more weight on the rear axle. Paint might experience damage while working with brake fluid. It is unsafe to work on the LSP & BV system at home because it requires special tools for replacement but only service personnel can adjusted the system when it needs repairs. Disconnecting the height sensing rod from the rear axle should happen while retaining its original position. Place the vehicle on jackstands properly while raising it. Unbolt the height sensing spring shackle from the axle tube and access the brake lines at the tube nuts on either side of the LSP Unbolt the height sensing spring then remove both LSP & BV bracket mounting bolts together with the assembly. Disconnect LSP & BV from the bracket before taking off the height sensing spring. You must tighten the bolt installation points during the reverse process. End your work by draining the brake system fluids and getting professional help to adjust the LSP and BV.
