About Scion xB
The Scion xB is a subcompact (only for the first generation) or a compact car produced by Scion sold in the North American market and appears as a box-shaped, 5-door hatchback. It serves as the successor of the Toyota bB and was succeeded by the Scion iM in 2015 for the 2016 model year. Based on different platforms, the vehicle has experienced two generations and was among the brand's most popular models.
The first-generation Scion xB was released in 2003, based on the bB model and the NBC platform. To fulfill local needs, the vehicle shifted from right- to left-hand drive, with a significant change in the front passenger area. For the engine, the Scion xB was only available with the 1.5L 1NZ-FE I4 engine producing 108 hp (81 kW) and 105 lb-ft (142 N·m) of power, accompanied by a 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmission. When it comes to the interior, the car was installed with a compact spare tire stored under the left side of the rear cargo floor, as well as a storage bin on the right. From the 2004 to 2006 model year, a new edition was released annually involving slight changes to the car such as color and electronic facilities. From large to small, we offer all the parts that belong to the vehicle. The parts are from the original industry and are well tested by the developers. The second-generation Scion xB was first introduced in Chicago at the 2007 Chicago Auto Show. Compared to previous versions, the new Scion xB was 2.8-inch (71 mm) wider, 12-inch (300 mm) longer, and over 600 pounds (270 kg) heavier. Also, the platform has shifted to Toyota's New MC platform. However, due to the 2011 Japanese earthquake, the production did not begin until 18 April 2011. It is equipped with a 2.4 L straight-4 2AZ-FE engine producing 158 hp (118 kW) and 162 lb-ft (220 N·m) of power, performing at a fuel economy of 22 mpg-US (11 L/100 km; 26 mpg-imp) in city or 28 mpg-US (8.4 L/100 km; 34 mpg-imp) on the highway. Three “Release Series” were added into changes respectively in 2011, 2013, 2014, and 2015. Both generations have received a “Good” rating for the safety test. The production was discontinued in April 2015.
