About Toyota Pickup

Toyota Pickup is a general name of a series of compact pickup truck manufactured by Toyota and marked at United States market from 1978 until 1995. The first Toyota Pickup was the third generation Toyota Hilux introduced in August 1978 in U.S. Until 1995, it has been produced through three generations.
The second generation Toyota Pickup (N50, N60, N70; 1983-1988) was introduced with redesigned Xtracab extended cab option. At the same time, it had lots of engine options ranging from 1.6 L, 2.0 L, 2.4 L, 2.4 L turbo, 2.2 L, 2.4 L diesel, 2.4 L diesel turbo inline 4-cylinder engines to 3.0 L V6 engine mated to 4-speed and 5-speed manual transmissions and 3-speed and 4-speed automatic transmissions. Then in 1988, a redesigned Toyota Pickup was produced marking the beginning of third generation (N80, N90, N100, N110; 1988-1995). Its V6 Xtracab SR5 won Motor Trend magazine's Truck of the Year award that year. It also had many engine options including 1.8 L, 2.4 L, 2.4 L diesel, 2.8 L diesel inline 4-cylinder engines coupled with 4-speed and 5-speed manual transmissions and a 4-speed automatic transmission.
