Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Drain the coolant into a container. Remove the radiator support shield and the fasteners securing it. Detach the upper and lower radiator hoses from the radiator. If the hoses stick, twist them with a pair of large pliers to break the bond, but be careful not to damage the fittings on the radiator. Remove the coolant reservoir. Remove the cooling fan and fan shroud. If equipped, disconnect the transmission cooler hoses. Place a drip pan to catch the fluid and cap the ends. Remove the radiator mounting bolts. The lower radiator mounting bolts are accessed through openings in the frame structure at the front of the vehicle right side. It may be necessary to use a back-up wrench on the nut inside the engine compartment. Lift out the radiator carefully to avoid damaging the aluminum cooling fins. Beware of dripping fluids and the sharp fins. With the radiator removed, it can be inspected for leaks, damage and internal blockage.
